Job Summary
Aimtron Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies and PCBAs to IPC Class III workmanship standards. The ideal candidate will possess current IPC certifications and extensive experience inspecting high-reliability electronic products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual inspection of PCB assemblies, SMT, THT, and final assemblies.
  • Inspect products in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class III standards.
  • Verify solder quality, polarity, orientation, component placement, and workmanship.
  • Identify defects including insufficient solder, bridges, tombstoning, lifted leads, voids, and contamination.
  • Review AOI findings and perform manual verification.
  • Document inspection results accurately.
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspections.
  • Participate in MRB activities and quality investigations.
  • Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality procedures.
  • Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree in Electronics preferred.
  • 3+ years of visual inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Current IPC-A-610 Class III Certification (Required).
  • IPC-7711 and IPC-7721 is required.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
  • Experience inspecting SMT and Through-Hole assemblies.
  • Familiarity with AOI systems and magnification equipment.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • IPC Class III Inspection.
  • Electronics Manufacturing (EMS).
  • PCB Assembly Inspection.
  • AOI Verification.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • ISO 9001 / AS9100 Environment.
