Job description

$10,000 sign-on bonus available to external candidates who are experienced OR RN's hired into full-time positions!

Experienced RN? Let's talk. Pay is determined by experience, and seasoned RN's can expect placement toward the mid to upper end of our wage scale (DOE).

Job Summary:

Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards.ย  Responsible for care of patients in the operating room. Provides for patient care as a circulating and/or scrub nurse and teacher to ensure safe and therapeutically effective nursing care. Maintains the work area. Participates in 24-hour call coverage. Uses skills in nursing assessment to include recognizing post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.

Education and Training:

  • Minimum of an Associateโ€™s degree from an accredited school of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Licensures/Certifications:

  • Current Washington State RN license
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire. ย 
  • ACLS & PALS required within 6 months of hire

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing, required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have strong communication/writing skills.
  • Able to deal effectively with patients and family members.ย 
  • Able to work in a team environment while maintaining a highly professional and productive work ethic.
  • Computer proficiency
