We're centrally located in Irving, TX, near the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, and we offer a collaborative work environment with casual dress and work-life balance. This position reports to the office 5-days per week and we do not have remote or hybrid opportunities. Only local candidates will be considered as we do not offer relocation assistance.
Job Description
Astura's QC Inspector will perform various inspection techniques of medical devices. This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Responsibilities
• Mechanical measurements using; micrometer, caliper, comparator, misc. gauges.
• Visual inspection using finish gauges
• Functional inspection using hard gauges
• Documenting and processing of inspection data and documentation
Requirements
Qualifications
• Understanding of measurement techniques and metrology: Caliper, Micrometer, Pin Gauges, Block Gauges, Optical Comparator
• Good arithmetic skills required
• GD&T experience is desired
• Detail oriented
• Organized
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office Products: Excel, Word
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in medical devices or aerospace is desired
Education and Experience
• Minimum of 3 years in all job responsibilities listed above (proficiency test will be conducted)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
