Job description

Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days) - Operating Room (Ortho)

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time- 40 Hours; Days; Monday-Friday 0630-1500 holiday and on call required
Surgery highlights:
• Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.
• Fast Paced, High Volume of Robot, Urology, Plastics, GYN service line
• Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program
Here's What You Need
• Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
• RN Operating Room experience in Ortho (Strongly Preferred)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Preferred)
What You Will Do
• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
