Job Description

A Yuma Arizona based client is seeking an exceptional Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate outpatient care to patients of all ages. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team. This role involves all aspects of patient care including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorders, and other mental illnesses.

Required Qualifications 

  • AZ medical license as NP
  • AZ DEA certificate
  • Current NP board certification by ANCC/AANP
  • CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose a variety of mental illnesses in patients of all ages 
  • Perform mental health treatments in individual and group settings
  • Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services 
  • Chart review and document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy and JCAHO standards
