Full-Stack Web Developer

Established in 2021, Looq AI is transforming infrastructure digitization and analysis. Our platform enables fast, scalable 3D capture of survey-grade information, empowering engineering and utility projects with accurate , actionable data. We combine cutting-edge computer vision, AI, and sensor hardware to redefine how real-world environments are modeled and and analyzed.

Overview:

As a Full-Stack Web Developer at Looq AI, you’ll play a key role in shaping the user experience of our core 3D capture and analytics platform. You’ll build and maintain a responsive, scalable web application that bridges intuitive front-end interfaces with robust backend services and cloud infrastructure. Working closely with our AI, cloud, and hardware teams, you’ll help create a production-grade tool that makes complex spatial data simple, fast, and actionable.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full stack: build, ship, and maintain our core web application using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Connect the dots between front-end and back-end — integrate APIs, cloud services, and data pipelines to power real-time 3D workflows
  • Work side-by-side with AI, data, and hardware engineers to bring massive spatial datasets to life in the browser
  • Push performance and scalability to the next level — your code will handle real-world, high-volume data
  • Design clean, intuitive interfaces that make complex 3D mapping data feel simple (and even a little magical)
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and code reviews — because solid engineering matters
  • Own the stack, fix the chaos — front-end glitches to backend breakdowns

Technical Proficiency

  • You speak React and TypeScript fluently — and love building fast, clean UIs
  • Solid understanding of backend integration, REST APIs, and asynchronous workflows
  • Familiarity with Python, Node.js, or Java for backend services is a plus
  • PostgreSQL doesn’t scare you — even when the dataset’s in the millions
  • You’ve launched features to the cloud (AWS/GCP) and battled through Docker and Kubernetes setups
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
  • You write code that your future teammates (and future self) will thank you for
  • Bonus if you’ve worked with WebGL, mapping libraries, or 3D data — or just want to learn

What We’re Looking For

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years building and shipping full-stack web apps that scale and survive in the wild
  • You’ve launched production‑grade features, fixed things on fire, and made systems better than you found them
  • You bring clarity to chaos and polish to every line of code
  • You move fast, iterate faster, and don’t wait for permission to make things better
  • You care about the craft — especially when it means building intuitive tools for technical users who rely on your code every day

Why Join Us?

At Looq AI, you’ll join a team that’s shaping the future of infrastructure digitization through cutting‐edge AI, 3D mapping, and web technologies. As a Full‑Stack Web Developer, you’ll work at the intersection of hardware, AI, and cloud to build intuitive tools that turn complex 3D data into powerful, accessible insights.

Location

Sunny Sorrento Valley, San Diego. Enjoy real work‑life balance, a supportive culture, and free lunches a few times a week—because great ideas love good food. Hybrid‑friendly: open to ~2 remote days/week.

Benefits

We offer excellent Health, Vision, Dental, and 401(k) benefits, including an unlimited vacation policy to help you maintain a healthy work‑life balance.

Compensation

Base salary ranging from $135,000 to $160,000 per year, with eligibility for stock options as part of the total compensation package.

Ready to Build What Matters?
At Looq AI, we value diversity. We are an equal opportunity employer of minorities, females, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. We don’t just talk the talk; we walk the walk. If you’re ready to be part of an innovative team, head over to www.looq.ai and learn more.
