Job Opportunity: Full Stack Web Developer

We are seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer to join our team on a contract basis and help bring our e-commerce website redesign to life!
About the Role:
In this role, you will take ownership of implementing website designs created by our in-house team as part of a comprehensive rebuild of our existing e-commerce platform. We plan to redesign the site using WordPress and WooCommerce, with your primary focus on coding and developmentโ€”not graphic design or marketing.
Additionally, you will handle data entry tasks, which involve uploading product information to the redesigned website. This is a large-scale project, with thousands of products to list, so we anticipate the project will take several months or more to complete.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate design layouts into fully functional, responsive websites.
  • Develop and maintain website functionality using industry-standard coding practices.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
  • Perform data entry, including uploading product details to the website.
  • Work with WordPress and WooCommerce to implement designs and manage content.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Strongly Preferred: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or a closely related, development-focused field.ย
    • Alternatively, demonstrated experience in software development, coding, and website maintenance will also be considered in place of formal education.ย
  • Experience:ย
    • Experience with WordPress and WooCommerce is preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in coding and development practices.ย
    • Familiarity with WordPress and WooCommerce is a plus but not mandatory.
What Weโ€™re Looking For:
  • A tech-savvy professional with a strong focus on web development (not graphic design).
  • A detail-oriented individual capable of managing large-scale data entry tasks effectively.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to our projectโ€™s success.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to channel your passion for web development into a high-impact, large-scale project. Youโ€™ll enjoy the autonomy and responsibility of leading the development side of the project as a solo contributor. While you will control the technical aspects of the project, our marketing team will handle the design and artistic elements, providing you with support and feedback to ensure the projectโ€™s success.
