Job Summary:
AIG is a leading global insurance organization that is investing in a new Generative AI team to explore innovative applications of artificial intelligence in insurance and beyond. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for GenAI, you will lead the design and development of data pipelines that enable AI models and analytics, collaborating across teams to deliver solutions that drive business insights and value.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and deliver innovative data solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Mentoring and growing junior engineering talent
• Designing, building and maintaining GenAI data pipelines across the business
• Partnering with data architects and senior engineers to implement best practices, ensuring sustainable and scalable technical designs.
• Working closely with analytics, application development, and data science teams to foster collaboration and drive innovation.
• Leading the onboarding of new business lines to GenAI workflows
• Delivering on-time, high-quality results on fast-paced schedules while maintaining rigorous standards for development and code management.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (Python, Typescript, Java JavaScript/React, etc.)
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Be curious and motivated to learn new things.
• Design, develop and implement data processing pipelines in Palantir Foundry.
• Experience with testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).
• An understanding of containerization and compute optimization.
• Build and maintain scalable and reliable APIs to expose data and functionalities to other services and applications.
• Identify and implement performance optimization for existing code and data processing workflows, including leveraging containerization technologies for parallel execution.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of our data platform and applications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience setting up E2E Engineering pipeline, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Have prior experience leading teams of engineers.
Preferred:
• A strong background in Typescript is a plus but not required.
• Prior experience in Foundry is a big plus but not required.
• You are passionate about exploring innovative AI and Generative AI technologies, using them to drive impactful solutions within large-scale enterprise environments.
• You have experience working with both internal and external teams to deliver best-in-class data engineering solutions, sharing knowledge and best practices across the organization.
• You enjoy working within the financial services or insurance industry and understand the unique data challenges these sectors face.
