Job description

About Stack:
Stack is developing revolutionary AI and advanced autonomous systems designed to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency of modern operations. Stack's autonomous technology incorporates cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and cloud technologies, empowering us to create innovative solutions that address the needs and challenges of the dynamic trucking transportation industry. With decades of experience creating and deploying real world systems for demanding environments, the Stack team is dedicated to developing an autonomous solution ecosystem tailored to the trucking industry's unique demands.
About the Role:
In the AI Data Infrastructure team, our mission is to provide trusted and useful data to efficiently power all of Autonomy development. We work hand in hand with AV engineers to provide cutting edge solutions to all their data needs, working across data engineering, ML modeling, ML infrastructure as well as data introspection & visualization domains. In particular, we provide services to ingest, process, curate, annotate, serve and visualize data for AV ML needs.
The ability to effectively search, visualize, inspect and analyze the above data is critical to StackAV product development. To achieve this mission, we invested into a suite of introspection tools used company-wide on the daily basis across a variety of customer personas - from powering daily workflows of autonomy engineers to enabling executive leaders to assess AV performance against strict safety benchmarks.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with XFN stakeholders across Product, Design and Engineering to define a vision for a state-of-the art AV data introspection software, along with a pragmatic implementation roadmap that accelerates AV product development while maintaining exceptional focus on safety.
  • Deliver the above roadmap while setting a high bar for engineering excellence within the team.
  • Discover key issues in existing tools across each customer persona and proactively address those gaps.
  • Drive technical discussions to deliver solutions on a timely basis.
  • Evangelize technical solutions across the company to maximize business impact.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience of driving full-stack development with large-scale diverse data (video, audio, sensor data, text, etc).
  • Experience building modern full-stack solutions using React, TypeScript, Go, Python, etc. for a large number of customer teams and collaborating effectively across multi-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of data storage architectures and associated serving trade-offs, including SQL and No-SQL solutions.
  • Proven track record of building scalable, reliable full-stack solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of design trade-offs with the ability to articulate those trade-offs and achieve alignment with others.
  • Experience integrating novel AI techniques into front-end applications.
