Job description

Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM).

Location: This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features.
  • Improve on and expand the capabilities of our existing enterprise tools and customer facing-products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization.
  • Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.
  • Document and clearly communicate designs to peers.
  • Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiar with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience or willingness to learn C++
  • Experience using and developing on Linux
  • Solid understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles.
  • Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP, and TLS, and ideally, experience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks.
  • 10% travel

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $112,500 to $140,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
