Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Employment Type: Contract - 12 months (ability to extend)
Position Overview
Full Stack Software Engineer with approximately 5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining modern web applications and backend services.
This position will have a strong focus on C#/.NET Core backend development, microservices architecture, event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka, AWS cloud environments, and React frontend development.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on full stack developer who can build RESTful APIs and microservices in .NET, develop Kafka-based integrations using .NET and Python, contribute to React-based user interfaces, and support application deployment through modern DevOps and CI/CD pipelines within AWS.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications usingC#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-basedapplications using .NET Core.
  • Design and support service-to-service communication withindistributed application environments.
  • Develop event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka, includingproducers and consumers built with .NET and Python.
  • Troubleshoot Kafka messaging, event processing, and applicationintegration issues.
  • Develop responsive web applications and reusable UI componentsusing React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Integrate React applications with backend REST APIs and resolvefrontend/UI defects.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server,PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
  • Deploy and support applications within AWS serverless andcontainerized environments.
  • Work with AWS technologies including Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, APIGateway, and CloudWatch.
  • Build, integrate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines used to automateapplication builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Work with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWSCodePipeline, Git, and Docker.
  • Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle,including design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, andproduction support.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, QA teams, business analysts,product owners, and UX professionals.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning,daily stand-ups, code reviews, testing, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot application performance, integration, messaging, anddeployment issues and contribute to improvements in system reliability andmaintainability.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional full stack software developmentexperience.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with C# and .NET Core /ASP.NET Core.
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservicesarchitectures.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, dependency injection,Entity Framework, and common software design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-drivenarchitecture.
  • Experience developing or supporting Kafka producers and consumersusing .NET and/or Python.
  • Experience developing frontend applications using React,JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications within AWS cloudenvironments.
  • Understanding of serverless and container-based applicationarchitectures.
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle andmodern application development practices.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
