JD:
Client is seeking an experienced AWS/Python Full-Stack Developer to support cloud-based quantitative research, signal generation, back-testing, data, and analytics platforms.
This person will join an Agile full-stack team and work closely with developers, architects, product owners, and business partners. The role requires strong experience with Python, AWS, React, DevOps, and data engineering.
 
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop cloud-based applications and quantitative research platforms.
* Build secure, resilient, observable, and production-ready applications.
* Develop backend services and data-processing solutions using Python.
* Create web applications and dashboards using React or Dash.
* Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, S3, PostgreSQL, and Athena.
* Develop microservices and serverless applications using Lambda, SNS, SQS, and API Gateway.
* Design and implement secure REST APIs.
* Build and support containerized applications using Amazon ECS.
* Develop proofs of concept to validate architectural patterns.
* Deploy and support AWS applications in production.
* Implement application monitoring and logging using CloudWatch.
* Support CI/CD automation using Bamboo, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Ansible.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
 
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 8 years of software development experience.
* Strong hands-on experience with Python, AWS, React, and data engineering.
* Experience with Python libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Dash, Dask, Flask, and Boto3.
* Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Step Functions, S3, Glue, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and PostgreSQL.
* Experience designing microservices and serverless applications.
* Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and caching strategies.
* Experience implementing secure APIs, session management, and authentication.
* Knowledge of Okta integration.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with Amazon SageMaker and Athena.
* Knowledge of the investment-management or equities domain.
* Experience supporting quantitative research or trading applications.
