Full Stack Developer III (Security Applications)

Location: Hybrid Philadelphia, PA (2-3 days onsite per week)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay: Available on W2 Basis

Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer III to join a growing technology team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing security-focused applications that support enterprise identity, access, and cybersecurity initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced Full Stack Developer who enjoys building scalable applications, working with modern cloud technologies, and applying secure development practices throughout the software lifecycle.

The successful candidate will contribute to the architecture, development, modernization, and ongoing support of enterprise applications while collaborating closely with security teams, technical stakeholders, and fellow developers. This position requires a strong security-first mindset and the ability to provide technical leadership while delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance security-focused web applications and services.
  • Build scalable full stack solutions using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Develop and secure REST APIs used across multiple enterprise applications.
  • Create reusable, secure code libraries and software components.
  • Participate in application architecture, technical design discussions, and technology evaluations.
  • Support cloud-native development initiatives and application modernization efforts.
  • Contribute to cloud migration projects and adoption of AWS-based services.
  • Implement and maintain secure coding practices, code reviews, static code analysis, and security scans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support operational activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional experience in software development with full stack application design and development.
  • Strong experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing modern front-end applications using Angular.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript development.
  • Experience designing, building, and securing REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and secure development practices.
  • Experience implementing security controls within web applications and APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

•Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and security-focused applications.
  • Experience with cloud-native application development and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with Spring Security and authentication/authorization frameworks.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring other developers.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Knowledge of code quality tools, static code analysis, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications serving large user populations.
