Job description

We are Built to Connect.
At Cheil Worldwide, we create connected experiences that move people with work that’s bold enough to stand out, clear enough to be understood, and enduring enough to be remembered. Born from technology and built from one of the world’s largest tech ecosystems, we move with innovation, not after it.
Today, brands exist in a constant stream of interactions, where every moment is an opportunity to connect…or be ignored. That’s why we design connected experiences across online, offline and emerging touchpoints, blending data, insights, creativity, and technology to build what’s next, not just respond to what’s now.
Our approach integrates experiential with data-driven, creatively led marketing, grounded in cultural relevance and built to grow brands.
Cheil Canada serves as the lead agency for Samsung. And while Samsung remains a key partner, our work extends across a growing portfolio of globally recognized brands. Powered by a team of 60+ creative problem-solvers, we thrive on pushing boundaries and redefining how brands engage with people.
We are looking for people who chase the Never Been Done Before. Curious thinkers. Driven doers. People who want to create Connected experiences that matter.
About the Role
The Full-Stack AI Product Engineer is a newly created role who will design, build, and scale AI-powered products, internal tools, SaaS-like platforms, automation systems, and AI agents.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can work across the full stack while also building practical AI solutions using LLMs, agents, APIs, data, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate can take a business problem, define the technical approach, build the front-end and back-end, integrate AI capabilities, connect data sources, deploy the solution, and improve it based on user feedback.

This is not a conceptual AI role. Hands-on AI development experience is mandatory. Candidates must have experience building AI-powered applications, agents, RAG systems, LLM-integrated workflows, or similar products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications, internal tools, and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Build front-end interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, or similar.
  • Develop back-end services, APIs, databases, authentication flows, and business logic using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or similar platforms.
  • Build AI assistants, copilots, agents, automation workflows, and data-connected AI tools.
  • Develop RAG-based solutions using company documents, structured data, product information, campaign data, or knowledge bases.
  • Implement tool calling, function calling, structured outputs, human-in-the-loop workflows, and AI workflow orchestration.
  • Connect applications with APIs, databases, analytics platforms, CRM, CMS, cloud services, and third-party tools.
  • Deploy applications in secure, scalable cloud or managed environments.
  • Apply AI governance best practices, including data privacy, access control, output validation, logging, guardrails, and responsible AI usage.
  • Translate business needs into MVPs, prototypes, and production-ready products.
  • Collaborate with digital, data, CRM, e-commerce, UX/UI, analytics, creative, and business teams.
  • Document technical architecture, product functionality, and development decisions.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong full-stack development experience.
  • Proven experience building web applications from front-end to back-end.
  • Hands-on AI development experience is required.
  • Experience building AI-powered applications, assistants, agents, RAG systems, or LLM-integrated tools.
  • Experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or similar.
  • Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar front-end technologies.
  • Experience with Python and/or Node.js.
  • Experience building APIs, back-end services, databases, and integrations.
  • Experience with authentication, permissions, secure application design, and data handling.
  • Experience deploying applications to cloud or managed hosting environments.
  • Ability to work independently and turn ambiguous business needs into working products.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, or similar.
  • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, pgvector, or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel, Firebase, Supabase, or similar.
  • Experience building SaaS products, internal enterprise tools, dashboards, or workflow automation platforms.
  • Experience with marketing technology, CRM, e-commerce, CMS, analytics, personalization, or data platforms.
  • Experience with AI evaluation, monitoring, cost optimization, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience building products for non-technical business users.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a product-minded engineer and hands-on builder. They can understand a business challenge, define the MVP, design the architecture, build the solution, connect the data, integrate AI capabilities, deploy the product, and iterate based on feedback.
We are looking for someone who is independent, curious, practical, and comfortable working with ambiguity. The right person should be able to move fast, build responsibly, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and deliver AI-powered tools that create measurable business impact.

Important Requirement
Candidates must have real hands-on experience building AI-enabled products or workflows. Experience limited to using ChatGPT, writing prompts, or completing AI courses is not sufficient for this role.
