About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Java Developer – leading offshore development efforts while contributing directly to enterprise-grade applications. This position requires a strong technical foundation in backend and UI development, along with proven experience coordinating and mentoring distributed teams across time zones.
You’ll serve as the bridge between onshore stakeholders and offshore developers, ensuring alignment, quality, and timely delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coordinate, and mentor offshore development teams to ensure high-quality output.
• Collaborate with onshore business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java applications with strong backend and UI components.
• Review code, enforce best practices, and ensure consistency across distributed teams.
• Support system design, architecture discussions, and technology decisions.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide production support as needed.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and promote CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Must-Have Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years with ReactJS or a comparable UI framework.
• 2+ years with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• 3+ years working with Servlet, JSP, MVC, and Security frameworks.
• Proficiency in:
• JavaScript and jQuery (3+ years)
• REST and SOAP web services
• JDBC, SQL, stored procedures, and JPA
• XML, XSD, XSLT
• Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, JMockit, etc.)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
• Source control experience with Git, TFS, or similar tools.
• Strong track record coordinating and collaborating with offshore teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with Backbone.js.
• Exposure to Splunk for log analysis.
• Familiarity with caching tools (Redis, Memcached).
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
• Hands-on SCSS experience (6+ months).
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
