Job description

Java Developer

Java developer on a cross-functional team under the direction of the IT Manager. Translates user stories and customer acceptance criteria of increasing complexity into a logical, efficient, and optimal systems design. Develops and maintains new and existing web applications by writing code to meet business rules, security standards and government regulations. Works on a self-organizing, collaborative team and provides recommendations for issues resolution. Creates and executes required test plans on all new and changed components.

Project Background:

  • Along with a portfolio of other projects this candidate will assist on converting application from WAS v7 to WAS v9 as well as upgrading Java systems

Day to Day:

  • Design solutions in alignment with MMO standards
  • Provide timely, accurate and transparent communications per MMO team norms
  • Application support for Customer Care systems, WAS/JAVA upgrade
  • Kanban team environment/processes
  • JIRA (time tracking)

Required Skill & Technologies:

  1. JAVA (v1.8.0) – Senior level
  2. WAS v7/v9

Any nice to haves:

  1. IBM RAD v7 and v9
  2. Migration Exp
