Job Summary:
InterSources Inc. is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise specializing in IT Consulting Services and Cybersecurity. They are seeking a Security Analyst – Consultant to perform cyber threat monitoring, conduct penetration testing, and provide cloud security guidance within agency cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
• Perform cyber threat monitoring, detection, analysis, and incident response within agency cloud environments
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on Azure cloud infrastructure and applications
• Identify, investigate, and remediate compliance policy violations and security incidents
• Assist in architecting and maintaining secure cloud and hybrid infrastructures
• Implement and enhance continuous monitoring and incident response processes
• Serve as Security Point of Contact for cloud security matters
• Conduct security posture assessments using Azure-native tools (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Center)
• Create and maintain documentation for penetration testing results and security processes
• Provide cloud security guidance to stakeholders and project teams
• Raise organizational awareness around cloud security best practices
• Deliver effective communication to management and business stakeholders regarding cloud security status and risks
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of Cyber Threat Monitoring, Detection, Response, and Incident Handling
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and cloud-specific attack vectors
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation in cloud environments
• 5+ years of IT experience working with Windows, Linux, Cloud technologies, or Web-based applications
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools such as: Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Kali Linux
• Cloud Security or Architecture Certification
Preferred:
• 3+ years experience with Cloud Platforms (Preferred Order): Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Prisma Cloud, Dome9, or similar Cloud Security tools
• Experience with Cloud Security governance tools, CASBs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
