Job description

Why You're Here

As a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, you'll operate with autonomy in a small, fast-moving team, working directly with the CTO and founding product engineer to scale Fuser’s core platform. This is a hands-on engineering role — you will spend most of your time designing, coding, and shipping features across the stack.

We’ve launched our public beta with a strong foundation — 100k+ lines of code, multiplayer infrastructure, a node-based canvas, and dozens of AI integrations. Now we’re building toward collaboration, subgraphs, post-production, and operation nodes. You’ll help ship features, shape abstractions, and keep Fuser fast, stable, and expressive for creative professionals.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and ship key features across the stack with the founding team

  • Own complex systems such as multiplayer, asset pipelines, or execution flows

  • Architect clean, scalable abstractions that simplify complexity without limiting control

  • Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience

  • Help define the architecture for future AI-native UI/UX patterns

  • Collaborate tightly with design and product — we move quickly and iterate often

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience shipping full-stack applications

  • Strong skills in React + TypeScript, with backend depth in Node, tRPC, or Cloudflare Workers

  • Understanding of distributed or real-time systems

  • Experience designing APIs, databases, and data flows

  • Curiosity about creative tools, design systems, or AI interfaces

  • A builder mindset — you enjoy coding daily and owning your work end-to-end

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with canvas or node-based tools (React Flow, Three.js, WebGPU)

  • Familiarity with AI or creative software

  • Open-source contributions or creative coding background

Our Stack

Frontend: React 19, React Router 7, Zustand, React Flow, Three.js
Backend: Cloudflare Workers, tRPC, Drizzle ORM, PartyKit, Durable Objects
Database & Storage: Supabase (PostgreSQL), R2
AI Integrations: 50+ APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Runway, FAL, and more)

How We Work
  • Remote-friendly — we welcome candidates anywhere in the U.S.

  • LA-based core team — the team works hybrid, and you’ll collaborate remotely via async tools, Slack, and regular touchpoints.

  • Optional in-person team weeks — in Los Angeles for planning, onboarding, or deep collaboration.

  • Creative-first culture — we care about accessibility, design, and feel.

  • High trust, high standards — ownership early, autonomy always.

  • Small team, big impact — every commit shapes the future of the product.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $80K–$180K USD depending on experience and zone (equity included)

  • Signing bonus upon joining

  • Healthcare, dental, vision, and 401(k) (U.S. only)

  • Flexible hours and focus on deep work

  • Generous equity and real product ownership

  • Mentorship and leadership growth as we scale while staying hands-on

How We Interview
  1. Intro Call – Meet one or two of us to talk about your background, our mission, and how we work.

  2. Technical Conversation – Complete a live technical assessment based on a real-world problem followed by a discussion on your approach to architecture, problem-solving, and building for usability.

  3. Technical Demo – A scoped technical project with compensation

  4. Team Conversation – Meet with core team and have a discussion about collaboration, culture, and long-term vision.

We welcome candidates who may not have the “right” title but have the skills, mindset, and drive to thrive here.

At Fuser, the process is the point.
