As a Software Engineer - iOS/Android within PNC's Digital Security & Authentication organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Denver, CO, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer with expertise in developing scalable web applications and mobile solutions for iOS and/or Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills using Java technologies, modern frontend development experience, and the ability to design, develop, and support mobile applications that integrate seamlessly with enterprise services and APIs.
This role requires collaboration with product owners, architects, UX designers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality digital solutions from concept through deployment and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Development
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern web technologies.
Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database solutions.
Integrate applications with internal and external APIs and third-party services.
Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical planning sessions.
Mobile Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for:
oiOS (Swift and/or Objective-C) and/or
oAndroid (Kotlin and/or Java)
Develop and consume RESTful APIs for mobile applications.
Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and user experience.
Support deployment through Apple App Store and Google Play Store release processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve mobile production issues.
DevOps & Quality
Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices.
Monitor and improve application performance and security.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in software development.
