Azure Full Stack Developer

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Detroit, MI

Rate: $doe/hr

Hybrid โ€“ 3 days a week onsite work Required.

The Senior Full Stack Developer / Platform Owner will support Corporate Safety (EHS) organization by owning and delivering end-to-end digital solutions that enable safety observations, incident tracking, hazard mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

This role combines hands-on full-stack development (React, Node, SQL, Azure) with functional ownership of safety platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned to enterprise safety processes


Key Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Delivery

  • Serve as the technical owner for Corporate Safety platforms and applications (e.g., safety observation / incident systems).
  • Partner with Corporate Safety stakeholders to translate EHS workflows into scalable digital solutions.
  • Maintain roadmap, backlog, and continuous improvement for Safety platforms.

Full Stack Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end applications using:
    • Frontend: React.js
    • Backend: Node.js / APIs
    • Database: SQL Server / Azure SQL
    • Cloud: Microsoft Azure
  • Build dashboards, forms, workflows, and reporting tools aligned to safety metrics.

EHS / Safety Alignment

  • Incorporate Corporate Safety concepts into solutions, including:
    • Safety observations & reporting
    • Incident tracking and corrective actions
    • Hazard identification & mitigation
    • Leading vs. lagging safety indicators
  • Ensure systems support compliance with OSHA and internal EHS standards (aligned with existing DTE safety practices).

Data & Reporting

  • Develop and optimize data models and reporting solutions for safety KPIs.
  • Enable real-time visibility into safety performance, trends, and risk indicators.

Integration & Architecture

  • Integrate safety applications with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, operational systems).
  • Ensure solutions follow enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with:
    • Corporate Safety leadership
    • IT / Architecture teams
    • Business stakeholders
  • Operate within a regulated utility environment, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • React.js
    • Node.js
    • SQL / relational databases
    • Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Data Services)
  • Experience building end-to-end enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with Corporate Safety / EHS workflows (or strong ability to ramp quickly)
  • Experience working in regulated environments (utilities, manufacturing, energy preferred)
