Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Air C2 (Command and Control) and Sensors software department in Fullerton, California.

What you will do:

  • The Air C2 SW product teams develop Command and Control mission critical applications and leverage DevSecOps processes along with best industry practices to meet the threats of today and tomorrow.

  • Perform as a key contributor working as part of a high performing Software Product Team. 

  • Participate in software C2 software application design, implementation, test and maintenance. 

  • Collaborate in a cross-functional / Agile environment

  • Travel up to 25%


Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience with Object Oriented Design and Development, and Java application development.

  • Experience with databases as part of the software solution.

  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in software engineering in the Command & Control mission planning domain.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively within large, cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledgeable in JavaScript / TypeScript, with experience in building dynamic and responsive frontend UI applications.

  • Experience with asynchronous communication patterns, particularly using Message Brokering platforms, WebSockets or similar technologies.

  • Experience with modern web UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, or React, and a solid understanding component-based architecture.

  • Experience working with a range of infrastructure and platforms

  • Experience with one or more scripting languages

  • Experience with reactive programming paradigms and frameworks for building scalable, event-driven applications.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
