Location: Oak Brook Area, IL

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract with Potential for Conversion

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET / Full Stack Developer to join an enterprise software development team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications. This individual will work in an Agile environment and collaborate with developers, architects, QA, project management, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on development experience across the Microsoft technology stack along with the ability to provide technical leadership, mentor other developers, and contribute to application architecture and technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities

·        Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications that support critical business functions.

·        Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.

·        Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint/iteration planning, retrospectives, and technical discussions.

·        Collaborate with architecture and development teams on application design, technical standards, and platform direction.

·        Build and integrate APIs, front-end applications, databases, and cloud-based services.

·        Develop and maintain Azure-based solutions utilizing services such as App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps.

·        Troubleshoot application issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, security, and scalability.

·        Follow established source control, change management, deployment, and software development practices.

·        Partner with Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

·        Lead technical execution for larger projects or application modules, including estimates, development timelines, and delivery milestones.

·        Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.

·        Evaluate new technologies, development tools, and approaches that can improve application architecture and team capabilities.

·        Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical discipline preferred.

·        5+ years of professional software development experience.

·        Demonstrated experience developing and supporting enterprise-level applications.

·        Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring other developers is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

·        Strong experience with C# and .NET Core.

·        Strong understanding of SOLID principles, domain-driven design, dependency injection, and modern application architecture.

·        Experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps pipelines.

·        Strong Angular and front-end development experience, including API integrations and UI architecture.

·        Advanced SQL skills, including relational database design, query optimization, and enterprise data modeling.

·        Experience with Entity Framework Core.

·        Strong experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, debugging, application troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

·        Experience designing and developing secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications.

·        Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Additional Details

This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position following the initial contract period. Compensation is targeted between $50 and $65 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience and technical seniority.
