Position Summary


Avum is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to design cloud solutions, build CI/CD pipelines, and manage container platforms that support secure, automated software delivery. This role helps ensure infrastructure and deployment processes meet security and compliance requirements within Department of Defense (DoD) network environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy AWS resources (S3, Transfer Server, QuickSight, CloudWatch, EventBridge) using Terraform
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java and Angular microservices (Tekton)
  • Deploy and manage containerized microservices in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments
  • Administer OpenShift platform including maintenance, monitoring, patching, and hardening
  • Utilize security scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities in code, containers, and infrastructure
  • Build secure container images and manage container registry
  • Implement IaC automation using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting tools

Compensation


The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $160,000 annually, with a target midpoint of $145,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location.   • CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ certifications

  • Active Secret clearance (T5 investigation)
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline development


Preferred Qualifications
