To thrive as a Full Stack Developer specializing in Java and Angular, you need strong proficiency in Java for backend development, Angular for frontend work, and a solid understanding of web architecture, databases, and RESTful APIs, often backed by a relevant degree or coding bootcamp experience. Familiarity with tools such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, and experience with frameworks like Spring Boot and Angular CLI are commonly required, along with knowledge of version control and CI/CD pipelines. Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and adaptability help you work collaboratively in agile teams and quickly respond to project changes. These skills and qualities are crucial for building robust, scalable applications and ensuring seamless collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle.

What are some common challenges Full Stack Developers face when working on Java and Angular projects?

Full Stack Developers working with Java and Angular often face challenges such as integrating backend services with frontend frameworks, ensuring consistent data flow, and maintaining code quality across both layers. Balancing the pace of frontend development with backend APIs and handling cross-origin requests can also be tricky. Additionally, keeping up with updates in both Java and Angular ecosystems requires continuous learning and adaptability. Close collaboration with backend, frontend, and QA teams is essential to deliver seamless, high-quality applications.

What is a Full Stack Developer Java Angular?

A Full Stack Developer Java Angular is a software professional skilled in both front-end and back-end development, specializing in Java for server-side logic and Angular for building interactive user interfaces. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complete web applications, ensuring seamless integration between the client-side and server-side components. These developers often work with databases, APIs, and deployment processes, making them versatile in handling all layers of a web project. Their expertise allows them to deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

Job description

Job title:                                       Engineer (Full-Stack Software Development)

Department / Division:       Manufacturing - Industrial & Systems Engineering

Salary Range:                           $85,967 - $106,194

Location:                                Ada, MI

*Note: This position is an office role, and you must be able to report in-person to Ada on Mondays through Thursdays, with Friday as a remote option

What do we need:

We’re looking for a standout full‑stack software engineer—someone who can step into a high‑visibility role and help shape the future of our Manufacturing 4.0 ecosystem. This is a chance to own architecture decisions, build scalable backend services, design clean API integrations, and craft modern, responsive UIs that power mission‑critical operations across a global footprint.

You’ll bring a strong DevOps mindset—automating workflows, instrumenting for observability, and engineering deployments that are smooth, stable, and repeatable. If you thrive in environments where you can design, build, ship, and iterate with real autonomy, this role was built for you.

What’s special about this role:

This isn’t maintenance—it’s creation. You’ll build digital manufacturing products that eliminate manual work, enable real‑time decision‑making, and transform complex operations into streamlined, intelligent systems. Expect to lead API‑driven service development, orchestrate automated data flows, design resilient pipelines, and deliver modular UI components—all supported by modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring).

You’ll also operate in a rapid‑prototyping culture where experimentation, speed, and ownership are the norm. Some travel (WA, India, China) expands your influence well beyond the Michigan.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and launch digital manufacturing software applications that improve operational performance
  • Automate business and production transactions to increase speed and reliability
  • Engineer system parameters that ensure error‑proof, consistent execution
  • Drive testing, validation, and documentation to maintain solution quality
  • Deploy data‑collection capabilities that enable real‑time insights and process optimization
  • Support software applications through post go-live and occasional on-call support

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years with C#.NET and MS SQL
  • Solid full‑stack development experience
  • Strong GitHub/TFS/VSO version control experience
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non‑technical groups
  • BS in Computer Science or related field preferred

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Proficiency with object‑oriented programming: C#.NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience with Blazor, MudBlazor, or GCP BigQuery is a plus
  • Manufacturing exposure is a major advantage
  • Familiarity with 21 CFR, FDA validation, and cGMP helpful
  • Strong architecture experience for mobile web applications
  • ETL, data cleansing, staging, and validation experience
  • Exposure to cloud tech, Agile, or DevOps
  • Experience with S88/ISA95 is beneficial
  • Broad system experience across:
    • Analytics: Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft BI, SQL
    • Supply Chain: ERP, PLM
    • Operational Tech: MES, MOM, OSI PI, LIMS, OPC, Simulation
    • Control Systems: DCS, SCADA, IoT devices
    • Compliance: FDA / CFR 21 Part 11

What’s special about this team:

You’ll join a tight‑knit, highly technical engineering team that’s directly influencing how global manufacturing operates. The team is collaborative, fast‑moving, and deeply integrated with partners across quality, maintenance, engineering, IT, planning, and innovation—plus global teams in India and China. Your work will ship fast, be used widely, and make a real‑world impact across a complex, international environment.
