Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Full Stack Developer. This is a long-term contract opportunity based out of New York, NY (Remote)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Engineering.
• Business/legacy: Mendix Sales Platform supporting wholesale auctions, bidding, inventory-to-market, and buyer-facing workflows.
• Frontend: React + TypeScript.
• Backend/API: NestJS / Node.js on AWS Lambda behind regional REST API Gateway with Amazon Cognito authorizer. Strong in API development
• Application data: Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Multi-AZ; 10 schemas; read replica for reporting and exports. Full historical reconciliation is required.
• Streaming: Apache Kafka on Amazon MSK.
• Identity/security: Microsoft Entra ID -> SAML -> Amazon Cognito; Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, and KMS; NAT Gateway for outbound egress.
• Integrations: Oracle ERP (integration endpoint only), Deposco, SharePoint, SendGrid, and Fivetran CDC into Snowflake.

Responsibilities:

• Build production features in React/TypeScript and NestJS/Node.js running on AWS Lambda.
• Reverse-engineer undocumented Mendix workflows, business rules, integration behavior, and edge cases; convert discovered behavior into implementation notes and automated tests.
• Implement REST endpoints behind API Gateway/Cognito and integrate with downstream systems including Oracle ERP, Deposco, SharePoint, SendGrid, and relevant data pipelines.
• Develop against Aurora PostgreSQL: schema changes, SQL, transactions, indexes, query tuning, data validation, and migration/reconciliation logic.
• Implement Kafka/MSK producers and consumers with attention to message contracts, ordering, duplicate delivery, idempotent handling, retries/recovery, and operational diagnostics.
• Support exact migration of full historical data, investigate reconciliation breaks, and collaborate with QA until parity evidence is complete.
• Participate in mirror/parallel validation, cutover rehearsals, pre/post-cutover verification, and rollback readiness.
• Write unit/integration tests, perform peer reviews, remediate security/quality findings, and support CI/CD and production incident troubleshooting.
• Use Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI-assisted tools as part of daily engineering to navigate unfamiliar legacy code, generate test scaffolds, explain code paths, and accelerate refactoring - with human validation of all generated output.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $70/hour to $80/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
