The Role

We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Custom Applications Full Stack Developer with 7+ years of software engineering experience to build next-generation, AI-native enterprise applications for leading financial services organisations.

This role is ideal for engineers who combine deep full stack development expertise with a strong product engineering mindset and a passion for leveraging AI technologies to deliver innovative business solutions. You will work across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications using Java and React while embedding DevOps best practices and AI-enabled engineering into every stage of software delivery.

Working alongside architects, product managers, designers, and engineering teams, you will help shape modern digital products that are secure, resilient, scalable, and built for the future.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and deliver AI-native full stack applications using Java, React, and modern cloud technologies, applying product engineering best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Build scalable, secure, and high-performing software products while contributing to solution architecture, technical design, engineering standards, and code quality.
  • Leverage AI technologies to accelerate software development, improve engineering productivity, and build intelligent application capabilities that deliver measurable business value.
  • Implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerisation, cloud deployment, monitoring, and release automation.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX teams, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative digital products that solve complex business challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise applications using Java, React, and modern full stack technologies.
  • Strong experience delivering AI-native software development, with hands-on experience working with AI technologies and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
  • Excellent understanding of product engineering, modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software architecture, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong DevOps experience, including CI/CD, Git, containerisation, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and deployment best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering and product teams.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience building AI-powered products using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, intelligent automation, or modern AI frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, observability, platform engineering, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience delivering enterprise software solutions within Financial Services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Consulting experience delivering technology transformation programmes for enterprise clients.
