What Impact You'll Have

Our team provides tactical data engineering solutions. We embed skilled Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and ETL Developers directly into intelligence analyst groups to be their go-to data wranglers. We develop new tools, code, and services to execute data engineering activities. Our engineers work to collect, process, and feed analytic tools, turning data into intelligence in response to immediate mission needs, with direct impact on real world situations. You will see your work used here on a daily basis, and you'll have the opportunity to support a variety of Sponsor mission organizations and mission partner organizations.

This is a time of development and growth on the program, with an increasing number of missions being supported. The work is high impact and important, and the customer moves quickly. The environment is fast-paced, flexible, and open to innovation - you'll have more latitude here in choosing how to achieve results than on many other projects. The customer cares more about what you can do as opposed to your years of experience, and work hours are typically quite flexible - roll up your sleeves, get things done, and no one cares much about the specific hours that you work. The work space itself is also quite nice, and there is an excellent cafeteria!

What You'll be Owning

GRVTY is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. The Full Stack Developer shall provide on-site full stack development support for a data repository and visualization platform. The Full Stack Developer shall help shape and implement the new cloud architecture for the platform.

Technical tasks include the following:

  • Deploying and maintaining services in the cloud
  • Building out containerized environments
  • Maintaining Cloud infrastructure once implemented
  • Provide input on network design and implementation strategies
  • Working closely with team members to gather requirements

What You Must Have

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Experience analyzing client/business requirements and designing appropriate cloud-based systems and architectures
  • Experience developing, testing, and debugging cloud-native applications using programming languages like Python, Java, REACT, JNode and JavaScript
  • Experience developing, testing, and debugging cloud serverless functions
  • Experience developing, testing, and debugging web-based UI pages to ingest data and generate JSON, CSV, and TXT files

What Would be Nice to Have

  • Linux Administration to include bash scripting, cron jobs, and remote access
  • Knowledgeable of cross domain services like AWS Diode
  • Knowledgeable of cloud monitoring and security features such as AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of cloud infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
  • Experience in monitoring performance metrics and optimizing systems as needed
  • Collaborating with development teams and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Implementing best practices for security, compliance, and access control
  • Perform risk and vulnerability scans using cloud-based tools
  • Ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient
  • Renewing security certificates and tokens
