Job Summary

Your role as a full-stack Senior Software Engineer will be critical. You'll be part of an early-stage startup team where your technical expertise and desire to build well-crafted systems and products will bring to life personalized user experiences which leverage the latest in AI and machine learning along with robust cloud engineering. You will be instrumental in maintaining and elevating our edge in the industry, championing the financial health and success of all of our clients. The ideal candidate has experience initiating and leading technical projects in small teams and gets things done.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and Set Direction: Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and design software solutions based on customer feedback and business goals.
  • Execution and Delivery: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across all layers of our AWS based technology stack: data, application backend, web-based user interface and external APIs.
  • Innovation: Explore potential applications of generative AI and other machine learning techniques in our products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with the rest of the software engineering team to continuously improve our architecture and best practices as we grow.
  • Culture: Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proven track record of hands-on technical leadership from conception and design to implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, masters preferred.
  • Experience building applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure, or the proprietary equivalents inside big tech.
  • Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in new languages and frameworks.
  • Comfortable working in Go, Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excitement to make an impact in consumer finance.
  • Experience leveraging and integrating AI/ML technologies into applications.
  • Previous experience developing software in a high-growth, dynamic startup environment.
