Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for filling, merchandising, and rotating Pepsi products in full-service vending machines.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Maintains good customer service, communication, and delivery of products to vending machines.
  • Merchandises and rotates products in full-service vending machines according to PBV standards and customer needs.
  • Safely operates assigned route truck according to all company, state, and federal DOT regulations.
  • Delivers products to vending machines located in accounts utilizing a two wheel cart.
  • Collects payments from vending machines and reconciles route at the close of the day.
  • Reviews usage patterns and recommends flavor switch-outs.
  • Services accounts according to schedule and maintains cleanliness.
  • Analyzes route needs and develops load request through use of Handheld Computer.
  • Follows company rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED+.
  • License depends on vehicle class operated- CDL-A (combination vehicle over 26,000lbs), CDL-B (over 26,000 lbs) or regular license (under 26,000 lbs).
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment. (Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.)
  • One (1) year route sales experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 85 pounds easily and able to push/pull product on a hand cart continuously throughout the day.
  • Detail-oriented and have numerical aptitude.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to organize and prioritize task.
  • Able to successfully complete PBV driving test and meet driving standards.
  • Able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

Mental Functions

Repetitive job requiring frequent, but no more than normal mental or visual effort or alertness.

Physical Functions

Constantly (67%-100%) required to walk, stand, lift up to 85 pounds, and push/pull 300 pounds using a hand cart. Frequently (34%-66%) required to climb and sit.

EQUIPMENT USED

Handheld computer, DSD invoices, hand trucks, POP, cable cutter, label guns, pallet jacks, truck safe, cardboard baler, and vehicle.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

None required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
