RNs provide direct patient care, administer medications, coordinate with doctors and other healthcare staff, and educate patients and families about health conditions. They work in various settings including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and community health organizations. Full RNs may also specialize in areas such as pediatrics, emergency care, or oncology.
