Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. These systems encompass a wide range of applications, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems. In this role, you will collaborate both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will review and test software components to ensure they meet design requirements, document test results, and resolve software problem reports. It is essential that you utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies in alignment with the development environment. Furthermore, you will provide valuable input to the software components of system design, encompassing hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, integration of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions, and requirements analysis from system level down to individual software components.


Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Four (4) years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.


Required Skills/Experience

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in Java development.

  • Experience working with Gitlab for version control.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

  • Rudimentary experience with Jira/Gitlab integration is helpful but not required (can be taught easily).
