Job description

Position Summary

TheNICU Clinical Managerprovides day-to-day operational leadership and ensures the highest standards of patient care, staff engagement, and safety within the NICU and related perinatal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily NICU operations, staffing, and clinical performance.

  • Build and maintain a culture of teamwork, transparency, and accountability.

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and hospital administration to enhance patient care and service delivery.

  • Implement and evaluate policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Manage budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation to meet departmental goals.

  • Lead training, mentoring, and staff development programs to promote professional growth.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness at all times.

  • Partner with HR on recruitment, retention, and diversity initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Current California RN license required.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of NICU and/or Postpartum clinical experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in aunion environment.

  • Los Angeles County Fire Card and ARC certificationrequired within 30 days of hire.
