Job description

Job Title: Inventory Associate I A-shift Monday to Friday 6am to 4:30pm Location: Huntsville, AL Type: Contract / On-site Compensation: $28 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Describe your fulfillment operations experience, specifically inventory counting, receiving experience, and packing experience (Include years of experience and companies where you have done this type of work)
  • Derive inventory requirements from drawings, specs and Bills of Material experience
  • Operate a forklift
  • Lift 50ILBs
  • Please describe the difference between a level one and a level two (include information related to responsibilities and years of experience)
  • Continuously evaluate/monitor/escalate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream
  • Support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem solving skills
  • Use equipment properly to support the role, including fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment
  • Understand operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices associated with such machinery
  • Operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities within the sites
  • Receive shipments by unloading shipments delivered by carriers
  • Inspect shipments by visually examining packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determining if it is acceptable according to a standard operating procedure
  • Perform quality control checks by reviewing requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure
  • Document receipts by using tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order
  • Perform data entry by navigating and selecting fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly coming from the physical delivery of a part
  • Navigate through modules and read information as it is needed for a specific task of Fulfillment
  • Package parts by identifying what type of packaging is needed for parts and properly wrapping/storing parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow
  • Sort and stage by moving packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while it is identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow
  • Label and mark parts by ensuring all parts are part labeled and have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure in order to analyze parts through the workflow
  • Assign storage and audit by properly storing and using good judgement along with the standard operating procedure for the storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk, and audit per a standard operating procedure

Requirements

  • Fulfillment operations experience, specifically inventory counting, receiving experience, and packing experience (Include years of experience and companies where you have done this type of work)
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from drawings, specs and Bills of Material experience
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Ability to lift 50ILBs
  • Ability to explain the difference between a level one and a level two (include information related to responsibilities and years of experience)
  • Continuous improvement capability to evaluate/monitor/escalate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream
  • Ability to support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem solving skills
  • Fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, including understanding operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices
