Job description

Working closely with Plant Manager, Materials Manager, and other Department Managers as part of the management team, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day Operations of the Value-Added Assembly (VAA) area with responsibilities including Staffing, Training, Scheduling, Processing, Equipment Maintenance and Loss Prevention.
The Operations Supervisor is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the department wisely to achieve maximum results.
Train, coach and manage all Value-Added Assembly (VAA) associates in all policies and procedures of the company.
  • Oversee and participate in the timely distribution of all outgoing deliveries according to Company standards.
  • Ensure the accurate processing of all material based on Company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with Plant Superintendent and Quality Personnel.
  • Help solve problems and make informed decisions that affect service and productivity of the Value-Added Assembly (VAA) area.
  • Oversee compliance of processes with established Company policies and standards, such as property, personnel practices, security, and record-keeping procedures.

  • Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving (Continuous Improvement) Teams that directly drives company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies.
  • Responsible for On-the-Job Training.

  • Maintain proper documentation and records.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Enforce company policies/ procedures and corresponding work instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Two (2) + years Supervisor/ Leadership/ Management experience within Manufacturing Operations is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Hours: Monday -Friday 2:00PM to 11:00PM with occasional Saturdays
Location: Wentzville, MO
