Company Description Aviation Fuel Specialists (AFS) is dedicated to delivering highly trained technicians who expertly service aviation fuel equipment to keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently. The company provides scheduled maintenance, complex repairs, and customized preventive maintenance programs for airport fuel systems. AFS focuses on reliability, safety, and performance, ensuring that clientsโ€™ fueling operations run smoothly with minimal downtime. Team members work with specialized equipment and systems in a mission-critical environment where quality and precision are essential.
Role Description The Airport Fuel System Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing airport fuel systems and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled and preventive maintenance, diagnosing system issues, completing repairs, and documenting all work in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The technician will respond to service calls, provide technical support to airport operations staff, and assist in implementing customized maintenance programs. This role also involves following safety procedures, participating in ongoing training, and collaborating with team members and leaders to improve service quality.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for complex mechanical and electrical fuel system components.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair to perform corrective actions on pumps, valves, controls, and associated infrastructure.
  • Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to execute scheduled inspections, testing, and servicing of airport fuel systems.
  • Candidates should possess Training skills to follow technical instructions, participate in ongoing learning, and share operational best practices with peers.
  • Experience working with industrial, mechanical, or fluid-handling systems; prior aviation or fuel system experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety guidelines; strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Comfort working in outdoor and physically demanding environments, including lifting equipment and working around operating aircraft.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in mechanics, electrical systems, or related fields is beneficial.
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork; valid driverโ€™s license and ability to meet any airport security and background check requirements.
