The Fuel Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of aviation fuel. This role involves conducting regular and thorough inspections of fuel storage facilities, fueling equipment, and aircraft fueling processes. You will perform various tests on fuel samples to check for contamination, proper temperature, and correct composition, adhering to strict industry standards and regulations. You will also maintain detailed records of inspections and tests, report any discrepancies or issues, and collaborate with maintenance teams to address and resolve fuel quality concerns.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct regular sampling and testing of aviation fuel to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Perform analysis of fuel samples for water, sediment, and other contaminants
  • Record and report test results, maintaining accurate documentation for quality assurance
  • Monitor fuel storage conditions and maintain cleanliness of storage tanks
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in fuel testing
  • Follow strict safety protocols during fuel handling and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with the fuel quality control team to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Participate in training and certification programs to stay updated on fuel quality standards and testing methods
  • Assist in the investigation of any fuel-related incidents or complaints
  • Coordinate with suppliers and laboratory services for external testing requirements
  • Implement corrective actions based on test results and quality assessments
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in fuel handling and waste disposal
  • Assist in audits and inspections of fueling facilities and equipment
  • Provide technical support and guidance on fuel quality matters
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure fueling equipment is functioning properly
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of aviation fuel handling, storage, and quality control procedures
  • Experience in conducting chemical and physical testing of fuels
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental regulations
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
