Position Summary

The IT Systems Administrator manages and supports the organization's IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role is accountable for ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across servers, storage, and enterprise platforms. Responsibilities include managing identity and access, supporting compliance efforts, and maintaining backup and disaster recovery processes with a high level of accuracy and accountability.

The role collaborates closely with enterprise IT teams to support network operations, facility technology, and job site deployments, while contributing to projects and continuously improving systems and processes to better support the business.

What You'll Do

Infrastructure, Systems & Data Management

  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor servers, operating systems, and on-premises infrastructure with a focus on reliability and long-term sustainability.
  • Support hybrid environment integration with parent company-managed systems (Quanta), including Microsoft 365, JDE, and enterprise platforms.
  • Perform system updates, patching, and performance tuning to ensure consistent uptime and dependable performance.
  • Manage on-premises and cloud-based storage solutions, including file systems and Azure storage.
  • Monitor storage utilization, performance, and capacity planning to support current and future needs.
  • Ensure data retention, archiving, and lifecycle policies align with corporate and compliance requirements.

Security, Access & Compliance

  • Enforce corporate security policies, standards, and best practices in alignment with parent company governance.
  • Manage identity and access control through Active Directory and Entra ID, ensuring appropriate and responsible access.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, apply security patches, and assist with incident response as needed.
  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain detailed records of system configurations, access permissions, and administrative changes.
  • Support SOX compliance by documenting control activities and system access reviews, ensuring change management processes are followed, and providing audit-ready documentation.
  • Ensure all production changes are properly approved, documented, and traceable.

Network, Facilities & Site Deployment

  • Partner with Quanta-managed network teams to ensure network stability, connectivity, and performance.
  • Manage and support facility-related technology systems (alarm systems, door access, phone/voice, conference room technology).
  • Troubleshoot local connectivity and infrastructure issues in coordination with enterprise IT teams.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute IT setup for new office locations and construction job sites, ensuring environments are ready to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Deploy and configure networking equipment, endpoints, and connectivity solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Ensure IT environments at job sites meet operational, security, and business requirements.

Backup, Disaster Recovery & Continuity

  • Implement and maintain backup strategies using tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
  • Develop, test, and document disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and resilience.
  • Perform periodic recovery testing to validate backup integrity and recovery objectives.
  • Collaboration, Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead and support IT projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, job site leadership, and parent company IT to deliver aligned and effective outcomes.
  • Participate in IT planning, system architecture decisions, and process improvements with a focus on simplifying and strengthening operations.
  • Drive standardization and optimization of IT processes across the organization.

  • Strong technical expertise in Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments (on-prem + Azure/M365)
  • Knowledge of core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, GPO, virtualization) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Understanding of security and compliance best practices, including SOX/ITGCs, access controls (RBAC), and vulnerability management
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing (RPO/RTO) and maintaining system resiliency
  • Ability to deploy and support IT solutions in both office and remote/job site environments
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

Demonstrated Accomplishments

  • Experience using Help Desk platforms (ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or similar) and providing remote support
  • Supported SOX audits and compliance efforts, including implementation of controls
  • Led or contributed to infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, or hybrid/cloud integration initiatives
  • Successfully delivered IT deployments for offices and/or job sites
  • Improved security posture through patching, access controls, and remediation efforts
  • Implemented or maintained backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Created or enhanced technical documentation, SOPs, and IT processes
  • Participated in or led cross-functional IT projects

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience administering and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud systems.
What You'll Get

Working Conditions: 

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment.  Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Full-time employees are eligible to choose from a variety of healthcare coverage options, which become effective the first of the month after hire. In addition, employees are offered a substantial amount of PTO and are immediately eligible to make contributions to a generously matched and fully vested 401k. 

Salary Range:  $80,750 - $109,250

*Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*
