Description:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Short Fuel Truck Delivery Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of fuel to residential home heating tanks and commercial fuel tanks across larger Piedmont area of North Carolina. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and adherence to all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a short fuel truck to deliver heating oil, diesel, and other fuels to residential and commercial customers.
  • Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while maintaining timely service.
  • Safely load, transport, and unload fuel, adhering to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Accurately measure and record fuel deliveries using meters and delivery tickets.
  • Handle customer payments and ensure proper documentation for each delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, route changes, or delays.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering basic product questions and ensuring a positive experience for customers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements (Hazmat endorsement preferred or ability to obtain).
