Job Summary:TheFueling Systems Estimatorwill prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fueling system projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

We perform work at various types of fueling facilities:

  • Retail sites (service stations and convenience stores)
  • Private customers (trucking companies, marinas)
  • Municipal customers (schools, government facilities, fire departments)

Fueling system components include, but are not limited to:

  • Fuel dispensers
  • Pumps
  • Controllers
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Printers
  • Fuel Management Systems
  • Tanks and Tank Hardware
  • Filters
  • Tank level monitors
  • Leak detection equipment
  • Valves
  • Piping and Fluid conveying systems
  • Meters & Registers
  • Various electrical and mechanical equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for fueling system projects/jobs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid submissions in a timely manner, ensuring all client requirements and project/job specifications are met.
  • Manage and coordinate projects/jobs and prepare progress schedules.
  • Work with the technicians, sub-contractors, and other departments on establishing the job schedule for crews, subs, and materials.
  • Visit customers' sites to assess existing conditions, identify potential challenges affecting project/job costs and timelines, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and track project/job budgets, ensuring expenses align with estimates throughout the project/job process.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, discussing project/job estimates, scope adjustments, and any changes in cost.
  • Identify potential project/job risks and include contingencies in estimates to account for unforeseen costs.
  • Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market prices, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in estimating fueling systems or related fields preferred.
  • Knowledge of fueling system components and industry standards.
  • Strong proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent communication with writing, speaking, listening, and reading, ability to establish reports, project a professional tone, and provide clear concise information
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
