Job description

Station Manager

Manage the day-to-day operations at Driver Services, Jake Brake Deli, and Marketplace gas station, while assisting the Station Manager and or the Assistant Manager in a fast-paced environment. Provide direct supervision & performance support where needed of fuel desk cashiers, as well as general janitor cleanliness of the fuel lanes, deli, truck lot, driver showers, and gas station. Administer employee time and attendance payroll through the company's computer system, review and approve daily shift reporting.

Manage the day-to-day operations at Driver Services and Marketplace gas station.

  • Accurately complete the End of Day process for both the Jake Brake Deli, Station, and Gas Station.
  • Complete team member reviews & performance coaching through corrective actions.
  • Assist with reviewing and interviewing candidates.
  • Complete daily checklists.
  • Keep store stocked and hot food and coffee ready for customers.
  • Complete cigarettes count once per shift.
  • Cover breaks and lunches as needed including PIM C-store.
  • Conduct Shower and Fuel Lane deep clean checks and fill out proper documentation.
  • Complete the Diesel Survey nightly between 5pm and 8pm
  • Ability to coach, teach, and train new team members.
  • Train on and become well-versed in Paylocity, including Time & Labor.
  • Understand slow flow issues, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise.
  • Change inventory in Park Mobile.
  • Set up new accounts in MWS and set up new hires needing access to MWS.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Computer competency at an intermediate or proficient level in a variety of software programs to include Microsoft office programs, and others. Proficient knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and formula creation required.
  • Ability to obtain Oregon Food Handler's Card and OLCC permit is required.
  • Excellent communication skills to include reading, writing, listening, & speaking; strong command of the English language is required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior supervisory or management experience in travel center or truck stop strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a deli or restaurant preferred.
  • Experience with Point-Of-Sale and back-office system for gas station is strongly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated positive approach toward serving customers and employees while ensuring successful financial outcomes.
  • Ability to handle a complex variety of tasks simultaneously while maintaining professional composure and positive approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate and complete records, while performing at a high level of efficiency.

Additional Information

This position functions primarily in an operational setting and the employee may be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, operate a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to communicate with a two-way radio. The employee must regularly lift and/or move between 10 and 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Variable hours and on-call monitoring of business demands is necessary. The company operates out of several buildings spread across a multi-acre campus. Ability to travel between buildings is necessary.
