Job Summaryย 

ย 

Set up, operate, or tend glue station, soldering, or brazing machines for metal products, components, or assemblies.ย 

Primary Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

  • ย Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into welding machines.ย 25%ย 
  • Set up,ย operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.ย 20%ย 

  • Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.10%ย 

  • Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.5%ย 

  • Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.20%ย 

  • Record operational information on specified production reports.3%ย 

  • Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules toย determineย product or job instructions or specifications.2%ย 

  • Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.10%ย
