Job description

Carroll Motor Fuels is seeking Fuel Technicians, if you are looking for a solid career choice with a secure company; apply today!
Carroll’s Fuel Technicians install, maintain and repair fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, service station site controllers, credit card readers, cash register consoles specifically Gilbarco Passport, tank & line monitoring equipment. 

The primary focus is on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems. Duties include equal portions of electronics, plumbing and mechanical work. Work rotation will include after-hours on-call duty in assisting service techs. A significant portion of the work is done outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Gilbarco experience and Wayne Certification is a plus.  If not, must be willing to obtain certifications on Gilbarco Dispensers and Passport POS.
  • Previous experience in fuel maintenance and/or maintenance related trade school preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year maintenance experience.
  • Electronic and computer skills preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
  • Willing and able to travel when necessary.
  • Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Experience with various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours such as weekends, on-call, evenings, and holidays.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent exposure to unpleasant working conditions (dust, dirt, noise etc.) at off-site locations.
  • Frequently enters confined work areas (basements, crawl spaces, attics etc.)
  • Frequent bending, lifting, carrying, pulling/pushing of items weighing 50bs. and above.
