Position Summary

The Fueling / POS Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of fueling equipment and point-of-sale (POS) systems across company locations. This position supports the day-to-day operation of fueling dispensers, payment systems, and store technology to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations throughout all locations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fueling equipment including dispensers, card readers, printers, and payment systems.
• Troubleshoot POS systems including registers, scanners, receipt printers, and payment terminals.
• Diagnose communication issues between POS systems and fueling dispensers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fueling equipment and POS hardware.
• Assist with fueling equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements.
• Maintain inventory control for service parts and equipment.
• Assist in monitoring work performed by outside contractors and service vendors.
• Respond to service calls and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Utilize company CMMS systems for work order tracking and documentation.
• Support site remodels, equipment upgrades, and new location openings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with fueling equipment, petroleum systems, POS systems, and retail technology preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls effectively.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.


Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work inside dispenser cabinets and equipment rooms.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform repetitive physical tasks.
