What Youโ€™ll Do:ย 

As a Fuel Delivery Driver at JJ Powell, youโ€™ll be a trusted, friendly face delivering heating oil and off-road diesel to homes and businesses throughout our service area. Youโ€™ll combine dependable service with time on the roadโ€”while still enjoying more time at home than typical long-haul routes.

Your mission:

  • Safely Deliver Fuel Products:ย Make timely deliveries of heating oil, off-road diesel, gasoline, and kerosene to residential and commercial customers while following all delivery instructions and loading procedures.ย ย 
  • Verify and Handle Inventory: Ensure the contents of each load match the shipping paperwork before departure. Confirm accuracy against the Bill of Lading and follow all procedures to handle cargo safely and correctly.
  • Complete Required Documentation: Accurately complete and submit daily paperwork, including receipts, payments, and Bills of Lading. Maintain vehicle logs, cargo records, billing statements, and any required compliance documentation.
  • Perform Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct inspections to verify the safe operating condition of the vehicle. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain Clean, Reliable Equipment: Keep the vehicle clean, operate it with care, and report any delays, unsafe conditions, or accidents to dispatch.
  • Follow All Safety and Traffic Laws: Obey all DOT, OSHA, state, and local transportation regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Stay Certified and Ready: Maintain an active Med-Card, CDL Class Bย license with required endorsements, and all other certifications (i.e., DOT and OSHA) necessary for safe commercial operation
  • Wear the Gear, Represent the Team: Show up each day in your company-provided uniform and required PPE, and take pride in being a trusted, reliable face of JJ Powell to our customers and community
  • Drive with Skill: Maneuver your vehicle confidently in all conditionsโ€”tight spaces, busy traffic, bad weather, and everything in between.

Qualifications:ย
