Job Information

The Sr. Project Manager for PE&I is responsible for leading and coordinating HyAxiom’s obligations under fuel cell equipment supply contracts for fuel cell energy projects, including installation advisory services, commissioning support, and technical and commercial coordination with the Owner and EPC contractor. This position provides project leadership from contract handoff through equipment delivery, site readiness coordination, installation support, commissioning, acceptance, and transition to warranty or service, while operating within the defined scope of a supplier‑led execution model. The role is accountable for scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, safety, contract compliance, stakeholder communication, and cross‑functional alignment across engineering, supply chain, field support, commissioning, and customer interface activities. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in energy infrastructure, industrial equipment supply, construction support, and project delivery, with the ability to provide disciplined governance, effective issue resolution, and proactive support to the Owner and EPC contractor to help ensure safe, timely, and contract‑compliant project execution.

Role & Responsibility
  • Lead the end‑to‑end execution of fuel cell energy plant projects supporting mission‑critical data center applications, from project handoff through construction, equipment deliver, commissioning, acceptance, and closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and control project execution plans, integrated, schedules, budgets, and risk registers to support disciplined project delivery.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional internal teams and external stakeholders, including engineering, supply chain, construction contractors, utilities, permitting authorities, commissioning resources, and customers, to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with EPC, subcontractor, and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual scope, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedule milestones.
  • Advise on, and monitor compliance to HyAxiom requirements for site readiness, equipment delivery, installation sequencing, mechanical completion, commissioning activities, start‑up, and performance verification to support reliable energization and customer turnover.
  • Monitor project costs, evaluate change orders, manage contingencies, and provide accurate financial, schedule, and progress reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and constraints early, and lead mitigation plans related to safety, schedule exposure, material availability, technical issues, interconnection, and regulatory approvals.
  • Lead customer and stakeholder communications, including status reviews, action item management, issue resolution, executive reporting, and decision support.
  • Ensure complete and accurate project turnover documentation, including punch lists, as‑builts, commissioning records, training materials, and operations handoff packages in accordance with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Support development of accurate project budgets, estimates, and cost forecasts for fuel cell energy plant installations serving data center and other mission‑critical applications.
  • Track project expenditures against approved budgets and provide periodic estimate‑at‑completion updates, forecasts, and variance analyses to support financial control.
  • Review field conditions, scope assumptions, and execution constraints as needed to validate cost, schedule, constructability, and procurement strategies.
  • Support sourcing and procurement of required electrical, mechanical, and balance‑of‑plant installation materials and equipment in accordance with contract scope and project schedule.
  • Contribute to identification of value engineering opportunities, cost‑saving alternatives, and commercial optimization measures while maintaining technical integrity, safety, and delivery commitments.
  • Drive cost containment and financial discipline throughout project execution to support delivery within approved budget and overall project margin objectives.

  • Responsible for active and on‑going teamwork, including active engagement and results focus with the groups across functional disciplines.
Job Requirement

Education & Experience:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related discipline with 5‑10+ years of experience.
  • PMP professional with 5‑10+ years of project management experience.
  • 10+ years of Energy related Project experience.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant Construction / Civil Experience will also be considered.
  • PMP Certification highly desired.
  • Energy project installation experience.
  • Finance, Sales and Materials work‑along and teamwork experience.
  • Experience with local, regional, national and global customer support processes, customs and diversity of business practices.
