Job description

Position: Domestic Operations Agent

Location: Corporate Headquarters, Winnsboro, TX

Reports to: Director of Corporate Services

Employment Shift: Full Time, non- exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act

Travel: Travel not required

Responsibilities, not limited to:

  • Prioritize, schedule and route shipments for transportation via air and ground network.
  • Interact with customers and agents to rate and quote shipments via air, FTL, LTL, hot shot and line-haul.
  • Maintain and grow relationships on Teamโ€™s behalf with both existing and new customers and carriers.
  • Proactively reach out to carriers to source, price, negotiate and track shipments daily.
  • Source and secure capacity for time sensitive freight by leveraging multiple sourcing platforms.
  • Work alongside team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Branch Office and agent communications.
  • Local cartage and dispatch.
  • Participate in the required on-call duty rotation.
  • Any other tasks that are appropriate to the position or may be assigned by supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications, not limited to:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of Freight Forwarding experience required
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Continual desire to learn and expand domestic knowledge
