We are looking for a Front End Loader to join our team in Decatur, AL.

Pay: $26 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 6AM to 6PM rotation

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Front End Loader to join our team. The Loader will perform various tasks that require physical strength and endurance, including manual labor, assistance in construction, maintenance, and other activities as directed. The ideal candidate should be able to follow instructions, work well in a team, and maintain a high level of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will load our processing plant
  • Load outbound trucks with slag and help deliver metal, cable metal, to the mill.
  • Pressure wash and grease equipment
  • Provide all-around support when needed.
  • Perform Manual Labor: Execute tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
  • Assist in Construction and Maintenance: Support construction projects by digging, mixing, and transporting materials, as well as assisting skilled tradespeople.
  • Operate Tools and Machinery: Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively as needed.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organized, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Load and Unload Materials: Handle and transport materials to and from job sites as required.
  • Perform General Labor Tasks: Carry out various tasks as assigned by supervisors, which may include minor repairs, painting, or landscaping.
  • Assist in Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by setting up equipment and materials as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a laborer or similar role is preferred but not required. Must have mill experience and digging out ladie pits. Prior Heavy Equipment and Truck Driving experience preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery; ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varying hours and conditions as needed.

Education and Training:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Training: On-the-job training will be provided.
