Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Software Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise business applications. This role requires a hands-on developer who can analyze technical requirements, build scalable solutions, optimize database performance, and collaborate with both technical and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, modernizing legacy applications, and delivering high-quality software in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine the scope and impact of requested enhancements.
  • Review existing application architecture and code to identify effective development solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications primarily using C#/.NET technologies.
  • Support the migration of legacy applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core/.NET 8.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and scripts.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and resolve software defects.
  • Evaluate system changes for downstream impacts and ensure compatibility across integrated applications.
  • Produce technical documentation outlining development changes and system impacts.
  • Perform thorough unit testing and validate application functionality before deployment.
  • Ensure data integrity during database updates and application modifications.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow established coding standards, development best practices, and version control procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing enterprise applications.
  • Strong proficiency with:
    • C#
    • .NET Core (.NET 8 or newer)
    • .NET Framework (4.8 or newer)
  • Experience migrating applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core.
  • Advanced SQL Server development experience, including:
    • Stored procedures
    • Complex queries
    • Performance tuning
    • Database optimization
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Sencha ExtJS, React, or Angular.
  • Experience working with PHP applications is a plus.
  • Proficiency using Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, SVN, Git, or other version control systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and project management tools such as Jira.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
