They use technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create interactive and visually appealing interfaces that users interact with directly in their browsers. Frontend Developers work closely with designers and backend developers to ensure a seamless and responsive user experience across different devices and platforms. Their role often includes optimizing website performance, ensuring accessibility, and maintaining code quality.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a frontend developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Frontend Developer, you need a solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), responsive design tools, and web performance optimization techniques is typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities help you build intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and collaborate effectively with design and backend teams. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering high-quality, interactive web applications that meet user and business needs.

How do frontend developers collaborate with designers and backend teams during a project?

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our core team. In this role, you'll take ownership of designing and building the user-facing components of our AI-native cloud platform. You'll architect scalable, high-performance web interfaces that make complex cybersecurity capabilities intuitive and accessible.
As our systems become increasingly AI-driven, a key part of your work will be building interfaces that make these intelligent systems explainable and trustworthy. You'll help users understand how AI decisions are made - turning model outputs and security insights into clear, actionable, and transparent experiences.
As a senior member of the team, you'll shape our frontend architecture, mentor other engineers, and collaborate closely with design and product to deliver exceptional, insight-driven user experiences.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement sophisticated, performant web interfaces for our AI-native cloud platform.
  • Drive frontend technical direction, selecting modern frameworks, libraries, and tools to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to translate complex cybersecurity use cases into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
  • Define and uphold best practices in coding standards, testing, and frontend architecture.
  • Optimize performance across browsers and devices, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness.
  • Contribute to long-term engineering strategy.
  • Provide expert technical feedback on UX designs and feature requirements.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling production-grade web applications.
  • Deep expertise in React (or similar modern frameworks such as Vue or Angular) and strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with frontend architecture, APIs and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and integration with backend APIs and services.
  • Comfortable working with AI Coding tools such as Cursor.
  • Demonstrated experience with UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions in a rapidly-changing environment and communicate trade-offs effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
