Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Travel: No Overnight Travel
Compensation: $36-$40/hour + Overtime + Full Benefits

Build World-Class Automation Without Living on the Road

We're partnering with a leading manufacturer of precision automation equipment that is expanding its engineering team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys commissioning, troubleshooting, machine startups, and automation—but prefers staying local rather than traveling extensively.

You'll work directly with engineering and production teams to bring custom manufacturing equipment to life before shipment and support local customer installations when needed.


Responsibilities
  • Commission newly built automated machinery in-house
  • Perform startup and machine validation
  • Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, servo, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Verify equipment performance meets customer specifications
  • Support machine testing prior to shipment
  • Assist engineering with design improvements
  • Diagnose controls and automation issues
  • Support production during machine build
  • Complete commissioning documentation
  • Assist with occasional local customer support when necessary

Qualifications
  • 2+ years working with industrial automation equipment
  • Machine build, controls, commissioning, maintenance, or service experience
